EATONVANCE CORPORATE HISTORY
Boston, MA
The Wall is amazing. I keep walking by it to take it all in —the textures, the color, the lighting and, of course, the subjects. It is beautiful! Jeff’s vision and Nick’s and your implementation and experience with museum exhibits created a treasure for Eaton Vance’s present and future employees.

EatonVance, one of Boston’s oldest and most successful financial management institutions is celebrating its 85th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone and the move to their new home at Two International Place, N.B. Paffett Associates and proun were contracted to design exhibits that communicate the history and culture of the company to its employees and clientele. The exhibits consist of a dramatic 50’ wall mural and time line that combines artifacts and images chronicling EatonVance history against a backdrop of iconic images from U.S. history. In addition, large rear lit panels located in each of the eight other lobbies highlight subjects such as women at EatonVance, a look behind the scenes, and community involvement, to provide insight into the corporate culture of EatonVance.
The choice of materials, colors, and images capture both the professional and congenial atmosphere that pervades the company—formal portraits of VIPs are displayed alongside a bat and ball from Red Sox slugger and former employee Carl Yastrzemski; early mutual fund certificates are contextualized with images of Louis Armstrong and prohibition; and a formal Christmas party photo is accompanied by a hand made invitation to the “real” party in the company mail room. A subtle nautical motif acknowledges Boston’s financial relationship to international trade and the guiding role that Eaton Vance has played in its development.
